Did You Ever Have The Perfect Dress ?

Did you ever have the perfect dress ? You know - the one that made you feel as pretty as could be every time you wore it ? Compliments came your way and you knew it fitted perfectly, that it was just your colour and then, of course, you had the shoes to match and maybe a purse or handbag too.

Living as I do in the back of beyond - on a remote mountain top - where the nearest clothes shop, other than Walmart ( no disrespect to Walmart ) is 30 miles away and in a community where even wearing a summer skirt is regarded as being "dressed up " to go out, I guess maybe I was getting nice clothes withdrawal symptoms when this thought came into my mind. One of my passions is vintage fashion - back to the time when clothes were carefully tailored and somehow looked oh so much more elegant than some of today's fashions although I openly admit to being woefully behind on those too. Fashion here is about keeping warm and dry and footwear is limited pretty much to sneakers in summer and boots in winter - not high fashion boots but sturdy things to deal with the mud and the snow.

Oh well, a girl can dream !
